SYMPTOM
•
Sometimes the set blocks when powering on or plugging in the AC cord.
•
For the RDR-GX220 EC3 model only, abnormal colours appear when changing channels from the SECAM to
the PAL system.
•
The timer LED blinks occasionally even if the timer has been set correctly and there is enough space left on the
recording media.
•
The unit does not memorize the last selected channel when using the ShowView or VCRPlus+ system.
SOLUTION
Upgrade the firmware to version 2.15 as explained below. Please note that two different versions of firmware 2.15
are available depending on the model of the set. One version is for RDR-GX120 only (GX120ver215.zip) and the
other is for all other models (GXHX5Gver215.zip).
1.
Unzip the ZIP file corresponding to the model that needs a firmware upgrade and burn the BIN file in the root
folder of a CD-R.

Upgrade the firmware to version 2.15 as explained below.
•
Press [EJECT] and place the update disc on the tray.
•
Close the tray and wait until the LOAD is done. A time indication will appear on the front panel display and
a firmware update window will be displayed on the monitor screen.
•
Select " Yes " by pushing [ENTER] on the remote control.
•
After about 10 s, " Verup start " will appear on the front panel display and the update procedure will start.
The total update takes around 10 min. to complete.
•
When the update is completed, " Finish!! " will appear on the front panel display and the disc will be ejected
automatically. Remove the disc from the tray.
•
Press the [POWER] button on the front panel for about 10 s until the message " WELCOME " is displayed
on the front panel display.
•
The tray will close and the set will go in Standby mode.
