PROTECTIVE TAPE TO UI FRAME
A protective tape (code 9480728) has been added to the UI frame to prevent
components on PWB to touch components on LCD module. Connection
between components on PWB and LCD module can cause phone to show
blank display.
Every time when a phone’s A-cover is opened for repair it must be checked, if
the protective tape has been already installed on UI frame. If the protective
tape is missing, following instructions must be followed:
1. Disassemble the phone to remove the UI support frame (please see
NHL-10 Service Manual for disassembling/assembling instructions)
2. Add the tape on the UI support frame
3. Before assembling the UI support frame, check visually that the below
mentioned criterion are met:
- Tape must be properly installed
- It must be straight
- No bubbles are allowed
- Starting point is the edge of right hand corner
- Assembly tolerance ± 0.5 mm
Before the tape is added:
After the tape is added:
