Repair Instructions
1. Only skilled personnel should carry out the repair.
2. Verification test to carry out as follows, to determine the problem:
a. Ensure product are properly assembled
b. Power on
c. Water Tank to be filled up to Maximum level
3. Refer to Trouble shooting guide for part repair/replacement.
4. Specific tool needs to be used for the following part replacement.
a. Inox Clamp – Refer to page 30
b. Electrovalve – Refer to page 31
5. After repaired, the appliance must function properly, following test to be carried out:
a. POWER-ON CHECK
Powered-ON with socket equipped with Residual Current Circuit Breaker (RCCB) or Earth Leakage Circuit
Breaker (ELCB) to ensure no electrical hazard risk to end consumer.
b. Soleplate temperature
Check the soleplate temperature at maximum setting within IEC requirment.
Measure the temperature of the Soleplate after the iron has reached steady state i.e connected to the mains
for at least 15 minutes. The table below shows the temperature requirement.

Check that there is no water leakage from any part of product during operation.
d. Functionality
Check the functionality of the product such as:
- Steaming
- PCBA (Refer to point 6).

- LED/ Lamp: able to light up
e. Loose part
Check that there are no loose parts such as extra screws in the product that can cause short circuit or product
malfunction.

6. Self-Check mode
Self-Check mode is NOT an exhaustive dianosis, but a quick preliminary check on all the hardware function.
6.1 The following to be carried out before Self-Check mode:
i)
Make sure Soleplate is cold ( & lt; 100 °C)
ii)
Make sure Boiler is cold ( & lt; 100 °C)
iii)
Make sure Boiler is empty
iv)
Water tank with water above min mark
v)
Water tank is NOT attached to the system
vi)
Iron is place on horizontal position. (not on base)
vii)
Power meter in place to monitor system power

6.4 Troubleshooting Tips
TS tip #1
- No pumping sound, fault could be due to:
a) Pump verify by connecting the AC voltage directly to pump terminal.
b) PCBA verify by driving a new pump with existing PCBA.
c) Connection verify wire connection polarity and wire continuity.
- No buzzer sound, fault is on PCBA
- LEDs do not light up as specified, fault is on PCBA
TS tip #2
- Zero-crossing detection circuit error, fault is on PCBA
TS tip #3
- LEDs do not light up as specified, fault is on PCBA
TS tip #4
- Iron temperature sensing circuit error, fault could be due to:
a) Thermistor disconnect iron thermistor and measure the thermistor
resistance at
room temperature, thermistor resistance is around 200 kΩ – 250 kΩ )
b) PCBA verify by using a new PCBA.
c) Connection check iron thermistor connection, check iron thermistor
wire continuity and hose cord continuity to base.
TS tip #5
- Iron heater power does not show in the power meter, fault could be due to:
TS tip #6
- Boiler temperature sensing circuit error, fault could be due to:
a) Iron is too hot cool down iron soleplate and retry
b) Iron fuse or heating element Open Circuit check resistance between Iron Live
and Neutral signal

- Boiler heater power does not show in the power meter, fault could be
due to:
a) Boiler is too hot cool down boiler and retry
b) Boiler fuse or heating element Open Circuit check resistance between
Boiler Live and Neutral signal
c) PCBA verify by using a new PCBA.

- Water probe error, fault could be due to:

- E-valve does not open when Steam Trigger is pressed:
a) There is water inside boiler pour out water and re-test
b) Probe reaches end of life (full of scale on surface) replace probe and re-test

If iron LED still keeps blinking check Steam Trigger related parts and PCBA

If iron LED becomes steady on when press Steam Trigger, and system shows
completed Self-Check mode successfully after release the Steam Trigger check

- Iron horizontal position error, fault could be due to:
a) PCBA module check the PCBA mounting, PCBA module should
screw properly.
b) Iron assembly check the iron flatness, no missing parts.

Should BOILER ASSY, DE-AIR VALVE or BRAIDED HOSE BOILER are replaced, INOX Clamp must be
replaced and following instruction to be followed.
Tool required: KNIPEX Crimp tool

CAUTION:
When crimping on plastic part such as DE-AIR VALVE, avoid over crimping to prevent damage (crack) to
plastic part.

Replacing ELECTROVALVE
To prevent damage to the ELECTROVALVE during service activity, the following to be observed during
disassembly & assembly.
Tool required: Torque wrench (set to 6Kgf)
CAUTION #1: The torque wrench engagement is allowed ONLY at the yellow box locations in
below picture.
CAUTION #2: Ensure torque wrench jaw does not contact the solenoid body.
